Job Description:
Colchester Dental LLC has an immediate opening for a full-time Prosthodontist in our Colchester, VT office located at 106 Highpoint Center Suite 100 in Colchester, VT 05446.

Responsibilities:

  • Treat complex dental cases, including the restoration and replacement of missing or damaged teeth.
  • Determine the optimal type of dental prostheses required.
  • Fit and adjust the dental prostheses and assess if adjustments are needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive oral exams on patients.
  • Diagnose and treat dental disease, injuries and malformations of hard and soft oral tissues and related oral structures and help prevent oral disease.
  • Perform implant planning, placement, and restorations, implant supported partial and complete dentures, and socket preservation.

Required Licensure: State of Vermont Licensure in Dentistry

Required Education and Training:

A minimum of a Doctorate in Dentistry (DMD, DDS) (foreign equivalent is acceptable) and completion of a post-graduate advanced education program in prosthodontics, including at least 1 year of training in the following:

  • Training in administering comprehensive prosthodontic patient care, involving comprehensive treatment planning.
  • Training in fixed prosthodontics, including training in crowns, bridges, and implant-supported fixed prostheses.
  • Training in removable prosthodontics, including training in partial and complete dentures, as well as implant-supported removable prostheses.
  • Training in implant surgery, including training in the placement, restoration, and maintenance of dental implants.
